McDonald
Remember it was 5 years ago that I had my first McDonalds meal paid by myself. It was McSpicy Chicken Meal. To me, it was just a place for having meal alone or with friends. Well, it can be a place for a couple, too.
Never did I imagine that since last year, McDonald had emerged to be another place for me - Study place. Most of you would wonder, "The place is full of diners and quite noisy, how could I study there?" Well, it crossed my mind before I actually experienced it. My preferable McDonald is located @ Ang Mo Kio [my gf likes the name of AMK ;) ].
The McDonald in Ang Mo Kio is quite big. There are diners, card players, and a lot of students who are doing revision. To put up with the noisy environment, I have to listen to my MP3. Well, I make sure the volume is just nice to cover most of the noise out there. Some of you may wonder, since I need an MP3 player to cover up the noise, why shouldn't I just study at home like most of you? I had tried for plenty of times but I just failed to do so. The "temptation" of my PC, television, bed easily beat my determination to study.
I found that doing revision outside (just dont be @ my comfortable home), I can concentrate more and it is more efficient. Recently, I like to have a cup of McDonald coffee while doing revision. The coffee is strong enough to keep me awake for at least 5 hours (sounds not bad, huh). Again, the effectiveness may vary to different persons.
Tonight, I skipped class again. Instead of sleeping in the lecture hall listening to the subject that I hate & fear the most -- Manufacturing Technology and Materials. I took a bath, rested for half an hour before setting off to the McDonald nearby.
Again, tonight is another fruitful study night for me. Even though I found my study pace tonight is rather slow (as I listen to Yes933 story & some songs dedications), I am quite satisfied with my progress. Perhaps the topics that I studied are not too difficult, I found that I started to like this subject - Maths 3.
Too bad, this McDonald closes @ 11pm, otherwise I might study until 12am before going back home (cannot be too late, else no bus, I have to take taxi -- EXPENSIVE!!!) My gf always say I am crazy, study @ McDonald - a place that she would not able to concentrate in doing revision. I always reply to her that I am different, perhaps I am too lazy and addicted to games.
Next week another 2 class tests coming up. I have to take up the challenge by completing my revisions by this week. Aww.. work full time, study part time, I always feel I dont have time to do revision. However, why other ppl can do it and I dont? Hopefully I see a miracle that I could finish them in time. Sometimes I really hope that I can stop playing games but I will be feeling uneasy if I dont play a game or two every day.
Good luck to all of you, who are taking tests & exams soon. Let's WORK HARD~
