Courtesy ?? ANYONE ¿
The first campaign that promoting courtesy was launched in year 1979 by Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew (at that period of time). But currently how courtesy do the passengers are?
Scenario 1: --> Heartless
For those who travel by MRT or LRT everyday, I believe this situation haunts you daily. Every day while travelling in the MRT / LRT, u will see those heartless passengers do not give seats to pregnant women or old folks. To me, it is ok not to give seats to children as they are energetic but NOT to old folks & pregnant women. Try to imagine, the old folks are ur parents who raised u up for so many years. Or the pregnant woman is actually ur wife? Ur sister? Or ur relatives? At that moment, while the seats are occupied by passengers, will u hope that any kind ppl willing to give up the seat for them? So, don’t be selfish, start to give seats to the needy. If the courtesy campaign is successful, u will be given seat by anyone while u are old.
Scenario 2: --> BLIND
When the MRT / LRT reaches the destination, PLS GIVE WAY before boarding. Sounds familiar & easy? NOT AT ALL. Only a small fraction of ppl will give way. Everytime I stand away from the door, giving way for the passengers to alight, the passengers behind me or at the other side of the door will BLIND & just squeeze ahead & block the way. How can the passenger alight? They are like poor ppl meet with rich ppl, need to squeeze @ the middle of the path pitifully. Copy my friend’s pattern--> if that day I am not in good mood, I will not squeeze pitifully, I will just walk FAST & FIRM. I will just BANG the stupid passengers who are trying to rush in. OUCH! SEE WHO FEEL HURT MORE! I don’t care, I just want to teach u guys a lesson, if u happened to be bumped by a fatty, Don’t hesitate & called hamster will do. That is because U ARE NOT GIVING WAY!!! Just don’t rush in, let them out first, everything will be smooth!!!!!!
Scenario 3:, ppl act like disabled ppl --> Hearing Impaired
Come on, you have so much $ to buy brand new HP with so many functions & I know ur music quality is still good while playing on loud speaker, why u just dun use the HANDSET come along to listen to ur music. ARE U HEARING IMPAIRED & need to ON THE LOUD SPEAKER in order to listen ur music? Don’t be inconsiderate to on the music on loud speaker & disturb the passengers in the same cache of train. Those ppl who on their music on loud speaker mostly like to play stupid songs. Those songs are just NOISY & MEANINGLESS but they enjoyed them so much! To u may be very joyful, but to other passengers, it is merely DISASTER! Sometimes I really hope that I m the MRT staff so that I can scold them in the public for the stupid action.
Is the SG Courtesy Campaign successful? I dont know. I am not the best candidate to judge it. Judge by urself, as an opinion.
I am truly a Malaysian, with Singapore PR. I have the courtesy & carried out the courtesy behaviour since I came to Singapore. Who dare to tell me that u are not able to do this simple & easy thing --> having courtesy in MRT / LRT. That is definitely easy thing to do. But why human beings always don’t do those little act that do not benefit them in $ ?
COME ON MY FRIENDS, be courteous & don’t do like those idiots. Let’s have a COURTEOUS society!!!!!
