NBA 2006 Playoff

Finally, after 5 months of competition, NBA 2006 Playoff is arond the corner! This is a long- waiting competition for me. I've been amazed by their superstar performance. I don't favour for any team ever since the retirement of Michael Jordan from Chicago Bulls in Year 1999. Ever since the great basketball master retired, Chicago Bulls slumped to become one of the poorest teams in NBA for the next few years. Nowadays, there are quite a number of superstars that are very capable. However, their performance don't really attract me much. I think this is due to the great performance by Michael Jordan, my life-long SUPERSTAR in NBA.

For this year's NBA 2006 Playoff, the hot favourite should be San Antonio, Detroit, Miami. Well, to be frank, I would like to watch the game between any two of the teams above. Detroit Pistons is famous with their SOLID DEFENSE. San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat are making their marks on both offense and defense. However, their defense are not on par with Detroit Pistons. Last year, Spurs edged Pistons to clinch the NBA Champion Title with Playoff MVP Tim Duncan. This year, Detroit Pistons swore to take revenge on their last year's disappointment. They have sharpen their defense as well as offense! They are now with 64 wins and only 16 losses (with 2 games in hand). One of the evidence to show why they are crowned The MOST DEFENSIVE TEAM for 2 years in a roll. In 2006 ALL-STAR game, Eastern VS Western, eastern was trailing behind western superstars. The eastern coach made a great & important decision, by substituting 4 Detroit Pistons players into the game (on and off) to play with Shaquile O'neal. Do you know that they actually made a come back from 21 points of deficit during the 4th quarter! Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace and Richard Hamilton made solid defense to cut down opponent's offense. To overcome the deficit not only needs the solid defense, the suddenly awoke offensive players played a vital part into the game. Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Allen Iverson made an impressive offense to make a dramatic come back.

Below is the 2006 Playoff schedule. Let's watch who will eventually become the NBA champion 2006!
