Doggie New Year ™

New Year <-- this is what I was looking forward since I was young. What I really enjoy was to enjoy the various food + tit-bits as much as possible. Besides that, the 'Ang Pow" was one of the key factor that makes me excited for. Oh well, I have to admit those money will go to the Bank, not into my pocket. What for I feel so happy about it? Beats me.. maybe b'coz that makes me feel I am getting little bit richer than before. However, as the years go by, the excitement that I used to have is losing out. To be surpise, it is actually subsituted by other excitement --> the precious chance to hang around with your loved one, friends and family. If you were to say this to my gf, she will say NO to you. She is not that lucky to enjoy this.

Even though on the First Day of Lunar year, I was just sitting @ home playing my favourite warcraft game, I still managed to share my time with my family and relatives that are very close to us. At night, I went to my gf's house for a while before joining a boring gathering, held by one of my former secondary school classmates. Why it was so boring? That is due to those who attend already formed their own groups to talk. They always hang around together throughout the year. We tried to join in but they were just talked to you a while then back to their own topics. Fortunately, they were not talking about girls all the while, which I always heard from my friends (both in SG and M'sia). Perhaps, that is their hot topic. I will just listen up there and nothing much to say. I want to talk about games! Pls my friends, let me enjoy the excitement of games.. (sometimes games are boring, too...)

After struggling an hour at the gathering, I dragged my friends to go other places. We had a drink @ mamak stall before going to Ah Kok's house for gambling. Duh! I just wanted to play for fun and enjoy the feeling of nervous looking at ur cards.. I insisted on betting 20 cents for each bet. Ah Kok was so disappointed because he can't earn much. Thus, he simply played.. he was losing throughout the game until the last 3 games.. Most of my friends bet 1 dollar but I still insisted on playing 20 cents. BOOM! Ah Kok won the last 3 games and he won few dollars after clearing up his loss.

On the 3rd day of lunar year, we went to the former schoolmates' houses to "bai nian". Getting red packets are not our purpose. What we want is to gather together and talk abuot our past, current and future plans (marriage and work). Everyone of us were so happy and enjoyed our whole afternoon @ 7 friends' house. We had around 13 persons with 3 cars going along. My gf was so envious because her friends were keeping quiet while visiting her house past years. The situation is so awkward that they were looking @ Tv programs, instead of having fun among themselves. Thus, I grabbed this chance and persuaded my gf to go to my friends house @ night so that she can enjoy the fun of gathering with friends (Yes! I really hoped that she can mix with my friends more because she always feels awkward going out with them). Who knows there are other schoolmates @ my friend's house, so she was getting boring and tired. I was so sad that the chance might made things worse so I drove her home. Well well, try my luck next year. I believe I won't be that unlucky throughout my life, don't you agree?

I really not very sure about what to write in my blog. This is my ever first blog and I will need support from my friends. Please give me comments on my blog, either the wrong doings that I've made in the blog or what is the next topic I can write in my blog. I hope that I can continue writing my blog :)
